Account Executive

We are currently seeking an Account Executive(s) with intimate knowledge of these key vertical markets; Healthcare, Retail, Energy, Government, Gaming, Food and Beverage production, and others. Executives with commensurate experience in other vertical markets will be considered. The Executive will establish and achieve revenue targets from new accounts within established pricing and margin guidelines and company profit objectives in support of the companywide goals. The Executive will establish the objectives and action plans for the territory, including identifying those Company and external resources needed to deliver the expected results.

Essential Duties

  • Identifies consultative-selling opportunities with the potential to become strategic annuity-level cross-sold accounts
  • Demonstrates strong interface with business line operators to determine if we are able to deliver on commitments
  • Develops a growing understanding of our technology and products and keeps current with industry developments
  • Drives total sales process, including update of account plans, database, and opportunity-activity sheets
  • Maintains and develops relationships with existing customers via meetings, telephone calls, and emails
  • Achieves vertical sales booking goals via adoption of cross selling objectives with target accounts
  • Identifies customer needs and focuses the value proposition to meet and exceed those needs
  • Territory revenue within company established profit margin guidelines
  • Represents the organization at trade shows, events, and demonstrations
  • Negotiates corporate resources to achieve customer acquisition strategies
  • Supports and presents the full portfolio of products and services
  • Coordinates new account orientation and implementation with team
  • Visits potential customers to prospect for new business
  • Positions and delivers the total portfolio of solutions
  • Gathers market and customer information
  • Negotiates variation in price, delivery, and specification
  • Reports on sales progress and attainment of goals
  • Develops Critical Performance Metrics
  • Completes proposals for RFPs

Education, Training, and Experience

  • Must be able to successfully negotiate the terms of an agreement and be able to close sales
  • Effective communicator and planner – organized, structured, results driven
  • Knowledge of target verticals’ business structures and operations required
  • Ability to work with little supervision from a home office if necessary
  • Bachelor or Masters in Business or related field preferred. Minimum eight years work experience with demonstrated progressive growth in responsibilities, accountabilities, and resulting revenue within security or related field in relevant vertical market.
